How does Shopexa work? |

2006 is estimated by analysts to bring close to US$100 billion in sales from online merchants. Amazon alone, starting from January 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006 made US$6.7 billion in net sales so far. Yeah... I'm not kidding!
With all those billions of dollars in sales made online, we asked, woudn't it be nice if a chunk of that large amount could be put towards charity? The answer to that is yes, it would be nice, and yes, we've built Shopexa to do just that. You can use Shopexa to browse, search, and shop online; and for every purchase you make through our site you'll generate dollars as you shop, and our system tracks the amount, collects the money from Amazon, and redirects 50% of that amount to the charities of your choice. The dollar amount you generate is approximately 2% of the purchase price of the product you buy. For example, if you buy a product for $100, $4 is collected from Amazon, and $2 is donated to your charity. However, depending on the volume of purchases made through Shopexa, it can increase up to 4% of the purchase price. Multiply this scenario by millions of Shopexa users, and we'd be able to raise a lot of money for your charities.
Shopexa also makes shopping online, easy. Shopexa is powered by Amazon's technology, which means Shopexa lists ALL of Amazon's products (new & used), prices, and specials -- making Shopexa Amazon's twin brother. Amazon handles the billing and shipping aspect of your order. You can view and add products to your shopping cart on Shopexa, and when you checkout you will be sent directly to Amazon's payment page, where you enter your payment and shipping details to complete your purchase. |

My generated amount and my friends went to zero, what happened? |

The amount you generated has been saved by Shopexa and will be distributed to your charities, but apparently the cookies in your browser were erased. If you save your settings on Shopexa, you can always retrieve your settings, if you don't see it displayed or if you use Shopexa on multiple computers. |
